Biography

Yelena Raykin has more than a decade of experience as a paralegal, primarily supporting the firm’s real estate attorneys.

In her role, Yelena assists in real estate transactions including condominium and cooperative closings. She acts as the transfer agent and handles all aspects of stock transfers for clients, and is well-versed in the preparation of associated documents and contracts of sale. She has experience preparing closing statements, co-op fees, adjustments and transfer tax documents; reviewing estate documents as well as co-op lien searches, recognition agreements, and power of attorney and Uniform Commercial Code documents; and drafting affidavits and escrow agreements.

Yelena also has experience with various software programs, including the Microsoft Office suite, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw and ACRIS. She is a public notary in New York.

Background

Prior to joining the firm, Yelena was a paralegal at a mid-Atlantic law firm. Her past experience includes paralegal roles at various New York area law firms, as well as office manager positions.
