Missouri Lawyers Weekly Names Byrne, Stoneman to 2024 M&A Power List

Missouri Lawyers Weekly has named Armstrong Teasdale Partners Jennifer Byrne and Mark Stoneman to the publication’s 2024 Mergers and Acquisitions Power List. The list includes 30 lawyers regarded as the most accomplished M&A practitioners in Missouri. Byrne and Stoneman were also recognized on the list in 2023.

Byrne is leader of the firm’s Corporate Services practice group. She provides guidance in a broad spectrum of M&A transactions throughout the deal process, from pre-transaction planning to post-closing indemnification claims and disputes. This work includes taking the lead on stock and asset purchases and dispositions, mergers, restructurings, management buyouts, tender offers, going private transactions and other related transactions. She also serves as Missouri local counsel to out-of-state entities engaged in significant transactions involving Missouri companies.

Stoneman facilitates the structuring, financing and completion of acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, joint ventures and partnerships. His background in accounting and finance helps him to ensure that the agreements related to these transactions are consistent with his client’s goals and expectations with respect to financial matters. He advises from front-end strategic planning to managing the deal process through favorable execution and closing. Stoneman’s acquisition experience extends to transactions where real estate is a primary or sole asset.

Rankings are compiled based on interviews with attorneys and other leaders around the state, review of records of major deals, and archival research. They appear in the publication’s April 2023 issue.
