Biography
Ben McLaughlin focuses his practice on commercial sports, media and intellectual property. He has worked both in private practice and in-house, and provides commercial advice to global sporting events and teams, sports governing bodies, sporting brands and media companies.
He is experienced in advising on intellectual property, data protection, broadcasting regulation, advertising regulation and press regulation, and drafting commercial contracts including sponsorship, supplier, broadcasting, production, distribution, agency, IT, image rights, IP licences and ticketing terms and conditions. In addition, Ben provides brand protection services and assists with the ticketing enforcement operations for a number of major sporting teams, governing bodies and events operating across tennis, football, athletics and rugby.
Ben is also a key legal advisor, providing support to in-house legal counsel across all departments for The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon) and London Marathon Events Limited.
Background
Ben joined Armstrong Teasdale in early 2021 when Kerman & Co. in London combined with the firm. Ben undertook his training contract at a leading international firm in the City of London and has past experience working as a legal adviser for a global broadcast media company.
