Armstrong Teasdale Attorney Earns Recognition for Leadership, Mentorship
Armstrong Teasdale, a law firm with offices across the United States, proudly announces that Partner James Heinen Jr. have been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media with an Up & Coming Award.
Heinen serves as co-leader of the firm’s Higher Education industry team and leads the Patent Agent/Engineer subgroup. Registered before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Heinen focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications for those in the chemical and biochemical industries. He also has extensive experience with opinion work (validity, freedom-to-operate, etc.) and manages post-grant proceedings, including inter partes reviews for a number of high-profile clients.
As leader of the Patent Agent/Engineer subgroup from the program’s inception, Heinen oversees the hiring, training and development of patent agents and patent engineers/scientists. He is also instrumental in the training and growth of Armstrong Teasdale associates.
Heinen is active in both professional and charitable organizations, including state bar associations, the American Intellectual Property Law Association (serving as a mentor from 2012-2014), the Miami University (Ohio) Alumni organization (St. Louis Chapter President, 2009-2014) and the St. Louis Sports Commission.
Heinen will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Friday, Oct. 12, at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
