Armstrong Teasdale Announces Compensation Committee Appointments

July 13, 2023 Press Releases

Armstrong Teasdale has appointed three partners to its Compensation Committee, effective June 1, 2023. Partners Dale Degenshein and Monte Mann are new to the Committee and will each serve a one-year term. Partner Michael Jefferies recently completed his second three-year term as an elected member of the Committee and will serve an additional one-year term as an appointee.

Degenshein is a partner in the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group and managing attorney of the firm’s New York office. She has more than 30 years of experience in cooperative and condominium matters, both as a litigator and transactional lawyer. She has represented and advised hundreds of cooperatives and condominiums as well as developers on all areas of board governance, construction and contract issues, alterations, license agreements, modernizing governing documents, quality of life issues and fiduciary obligations of board members. Degenshein also co-leads the firm’s Inclusion Committee and is instrumental in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives at the firm.

Mann is an accomplished trial lawyer who represents clients in high-stakes civil litigation concerning a wide variety of subject matters, such as commercial contracts, corporate governance and fraud, with a particular emphasis on the financial services, commercial real estate, insurance and manufacturing industries. He also defends clients in legal malpractice lawsuits. He was inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame based on his accomplishments as a trial lawyer for his commercial real estate clients, and is also a senior fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Mann joined the firm in early 2023 as part of the combination with Novack and Macey in Chicago, where he co-led the Real Estate Litigation practice and served as Business Development Partner.

Jefferies is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Services practice group in St. Louis and works with clients across multiple industries on matters related to business operations and growth. His practice is primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate development transactions. During his career, he has served as lead counsel in M&A transactions with total deal values in excess of $2 billion. A long-standing leader at Armstrong Teasdale, Jefferies also serves as the chair of the firm’s Technology Committee and is an active member of the Opinion Letter Committee. He also previously served on the firm’s Strategic Planning, Alumni and Wellness Committees, as well as the firm’s COVID-19 Response Task Force.
