Corporate Services Partner Matt Kitzi Appointed to Northwest Missouri State University’s Board of Regents
Matt Kitzi, a partner in the Corporate Services group and co-chair of the firm’s Emerging Companies practice group, has been appointed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to serve on Northwest Missouri State University’s Board of Regents for a six-year term.
The nine-member Board of Regents governs Northwest, a state-assisted, four-year regional university with an enrollment of 6,700 students. As a Regent, Matt will be involved in policymaking and oversight for the entire university.
After starting his career at AT, and before rejoining in 2013, Matt served as the Missouri Commissioner of Securities. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law and B.S. in international business, cum laude, from Northwest. In his undergraduate years, 1993-1997, he was a student ambassador and president of the Blue Key Honor Society, Order or Omega Honor Society and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
In his practice, Matt counsels brokerage firms, investment advisers, startup companies, small businesses and national corporations in securities regulation, financial services, government affairs, corporate operations and business planning strategies.
Matt is also vice chair of The Missouri Bar’s Technology and Computer Law Committee and a member of both the board of advisors of the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Center and the Arch Grants Competition Committee.
