Maureen Bryan Recognized as Illinois Legal Leader
Armstrong Teasdale Partner Maureen O. Bryan has been named an Illinois Legal Leader by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. The recognition highlights legal professionals who have shaped the legal community and advanced the practice of law in southern Illinois. Bryan was recognized in the Icon category, signifying senior leaders with 30 or more years of legal practice.
Bryan focuses her practice on health care litigation and has twice achieved the largest defense verdict of the year in the state of Missouri, in addition to defense verdicts in numerous medical malpractice cases in courts across the country. Clients rely on her to provide counsel on difficult and sometimes sensitive high-stakes matters. She regularly defends clients in litigation alleging catastrophic injuries as a result of medical malpractice, product liability, and premises liability. She also counsels clients on matters involving the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), and breach of protected health information.
In addition, Bryan serves as Armstrong Teasdale’s general counsel, safeguarding the firm and its reputation while ensuring the firm adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards.
