Steve Pozaric Named General Chairman of Fair Saint Louis 2015
The Fair St. Louis Foundation today announced that Steve Pozaric, partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Corporate Services Practice Group, has been named General Chairman of Fair Saint Louis for 2015. As the Fair’s new General Chairman, Pozaric succeeds Bob Ciapciak, partner at Edward Jones, who served as General Chairman in 2014.
Having served as an integral part of the Fair’s leadership team over the past five years, Pozaric brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role. His background with the Fair includes his most recent role as Chairman of Venue Management in 2014, in which he was directly involved with helping to plan the Fair’s historic move to Forest Park. As Venue Management Chair, his responsibilities included physical arrangements, mapping, sanitation, concessions and Fair Services Volunteers.
Prior to 2014, Pozaric served as Chairman of Physical Arrangements in 2012 and 2013 and Vice Chairman of Physical Arrangements in 2010 and 2011. He has also served as the Fair’s General Counsel since 2011, advising the board on general legal matters while negotiating contracts with musical performers, event staging companies and other vendors critical to the event. In recognition of his many years of dedicated service to Fair Saint Louis, Pozaric was presented with the Fair Saint Louis Foundation’s Mel Lowenstein Award this spring.
“Steve has been a valuable member of our team for several years and played a pivotal role in helping to successfully orchestrate this year’s move to Forest Park, so that we were prepared to accommodate the crowds,” noted Parker B. Condie, Jr., chairman of the Fair St. Louis Foundation. “We are so fortunate to have him on our board and greatly appreciate him stepping up to serve the Fair and our community in this broader capacity.”

Condie, Jr. as Chairman of the Fair St. Louis Foundation, Bob Ciapciak as General Chairman and Lori Thaman as Executive Director. With the help of our leadership team, all of our volunteers, and the people of St. Louis, I know that 2015 Fair Saint Louis will be even better!”
Outside of his volunteer efforts with Fair Saint Louis, Pozaric’s work as a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Corporate Services Practice Group is focused on serving businesses of all sizes in the areas of corporate mergers and acquisitions, health care, technology and securities law. Pozaric earned his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law. He also holds an M.B.A from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University and a B.B.A. from Texas Christian University. Pozaric is a current member of the Event Safety Alliance, an industry group dedicated to improving safety at festivals, fairs and events, and a frequent author and speaker on transactional law matters.
The Fair St. Louis Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, operates the Fair each year and the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts, and has donated numerous gifts to the St. Louis Community in conjunction with these events. Over the years, the foundation has contributed to the lighting of the Eads Bridge, the Mississippi River Overlook and the mile-long Riverfront Promenade, and was a partner in providing the Grand Staircases beneath the Arch as part of the National Park System.
