Casey Housley defends utility companies, manufacturers and distributors in product liability matters involving fires and explosions. He has tried over 20 jury trials to conclusion in state and federal courts throughout the Midwest.

As a Fire and Explosion Investigator certified by the National Association of Fire Investigators, Casey understands fire science. He advises clients in all types of fire and explosion cases from scene management, origin and cause to post accident investigation. Casey has been a task force member for NFPA 921, Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations and panel counsel for a major U.S. property and casualty insurer. He is currently a principal member of the NFPA Committee for Marinas and Boatyards.

In defending fire and explosion cases, Casey understands the injuries and damages unique to these types of matters as well as the economic costs associated with burn injuries. He speaks to national organizations on defending burn injury cases including burn injury physiology, prognosis and recovery.

Casey focuses on proactively helping organizations guard against problems. He speaks and writes often concerning evidence spoliation, complex settlements and civil litigation in the context of fires and explosions.
