Jack Inkley is a member of the firm’s Business Services Practice Group and concentrates his practice in the areas of general business law, including corporate, banking, real estate, probate and trust law. In the areas of corporate and business law, he has negotiated and drafted sale, purchase and merger agreements, as well as all types of commercial contracts, employment agreements, consultant arrangements, restrictive stock agreements and stock option agreements. Jack has been involved in the formation of businesses, as well as reorganization and dissolution of businesses.

Jack's experience also encompasses all aspects of banking and real estate law, including asset based and real estate lending matters, loan participations, bank operations and regulatory compliance, consumer banking issues and loan workouts. His experience entails a thorough knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, all aspects of real estate finance law, and applicable federal and state regulations. He also has extensive experience in the negotiation and documentation of commercial loan transactions, representing both borrowers and lenders.

Jack has considerable experience in the preparation of wills and trusts and administration of decedents’ estates. He is regularly involved with issues involving estate planning for closely held business interests.

Background

Jack is a former member of the firm’s Executive Committee and former Co-Chairman of the Business Services practice group. He served as City Attorney for the City of Town and Country, Missouri from 1979-1984 and as special counsel thereafter until 1988 where he acquired considerable experience in handling zoning, subdivision and real estate development issues. Jack also regularly prepares and comments on legislation relating to banking and real estate matters for The Missouri Bar and Missouri Bankers Association.
