Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mike actively engages in the preparation, prosecution and enforcement of U.S., PCT and foreign patents related to electromechanical technologies such as semiconductor wafer manufacturing, electric motors, recreational equipment, mine systems, batteries, manufacturing processes and medical devices. He keeps tabs on industry trends to provide clients with knowledgeable counsel and strategies.
With a range of experience with patent and trademark enforcement matters, Mike regularly counsels clients regarding enforcement options in the U.S. and in foreign jurisdictions. He is extensively involved in patent reexaminations, including inter partes and ex parte reexaminations, and counsels clients on concurrent patent litigation and reexamination.
Mike also works closely with inventors and businesses in patent portfolio development, enhancement, licensing and monetization. In general business matters, he assists clients with due diligence and agreements relating to mergers and acquisitions and joint development agreements.
