A member of Armstrong Teasdale’s Litigation practice group, Terri Lynch handles a wide variety of matters within the litigation arena with a concentration in product liability and insurance defense. She defends companies and professionals in other tort litigation, including lawsuits involving misappropriation of trade secrets and professional errors and omissions. Terri’s practice also involves condemnation.

Product Liability. Terri represents companies in cases involving a wide range of products. She particularly enjoys learning the intricacies of a client’s product to achieve favorable results.

Toxic Tort. In toxic-exposure actions, Terri defends organizations when there is alleged personal injury resulting from inhalation, ingestion, or contact with harmful substances. Her experience extends to depositions, site inspections, and gathering evidence regarding time a person may have been in contact with the chemicals, particularly asbestos and benzene.

Insurance Defense. Working with insurance companies and their insureds, Terri resolves complex issues arising from various claims. Much of her work in this area occurs in the transportation sector including trucking companies and truck drivers, but extends to engineers and software companies in instances of alleged failures, errors or omissions. Additionally, Terri has been successful defending insurance companies against equitable garnishment claims and lawsuits alleging bad faith and vexatious refusal to pay.

Misappropriation. Representing defendants, Terri protects clients faced with litigation against allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets or other proprietary information.

Condemnation. Terri represents municipalities, developers, and utilities exercising the power of eminent domain for the purpose of promoting growth and development of blighted property or maintaining and/or developing necessary infrastructure.

Compelled to study law since joining her high school mock trial team, Terri enjoys investigating the facts and allegations of each case, analyzing the law, and utilizing the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Rules of Evidence to resolve complicated situations.

Background

Prior to joining the firm, Terri volunteered in a domestic violence clinic seeking orders of protection for abused individuals. She served as a summer associate with the firm in 2002 and 2003.
