Armstrong Teasdale at Venture Café with St. Louis Small Business Monthly Internet of Things Program
4240 Duncan Avenue, Suite 200
St. Louis, Missouri 63105
Although we once thought of Internet of Things (IoT) as Internet-connected devices that improve our lives, we now know these are unsecured devices that may be used by others for nefarious purposes. As the real-world implications of security for IoT devices are vitally important to our interconnected world, we need to pay closer attention to how these devices may interact with our networks. In light of the most recent attacks, BYOD policies may need to be revisited or reevaluated.
In this interactive session, you will learn about IoT devices being used for cyber attacks, potential employee issues with IoT devices and development guidelines for designing and/or manufacturing IoT devices.
This session is a part of the Venture Cafe Gathering, a weekly gathering of innovators and entrepreneurs every Thursday from 3-8pm at 4240 Duncan Ave. Anyone is welcome to come participate and connect with the community every Thursday.
