Armstrong Teasdale Adds Of Counsel Kathy Ford, Associate Emily Goeke
Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Kathryn E. Ford and Emily L. Goeke to the firm’s Denver and St. Louis offices, respectively. They are among more than 80 lawyers and staff professionals who have joined the firm in 2023 alone.
Of Counsel in the Intellectual Property practice group, Ford has over 30 years of broad-based legal, regulatory, compliance and governance experience. A former federal prosecutor and experienced commercial litigator, she has 20 years of in-house experience for both public and privately held corporations and serves clients as a proactive, solutions-oriented strategic legal and business advisor. Ford has extensive experience with privacy issues, employment law, complex commercial litigation, customer incident/general liability litigation, intellectual property litigation, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, corporate governance and risk management. She draws on two decades of experience strategizing with senior corporate leadership and other key internal stakeholders to develop policies and procedures that maximize growth and business opportunities while maintaining rigorous risk management practices. Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Ford was Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs for one of the largest cable and internet operators in the United States. Her prior experience also includes serving as assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota.
Goeke, who joins the Litigation practice group in St. Louis, has previous experience in matters involving health care, civil rights and underserved populations, and has represented clients with disabilities in a wide variety of matters. Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Goeke served as a law clerk for the Hon. David D. Noce in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Based on that experience, Goeke is skilled at managing a diverse civil docket and analyzing substantive issues of state and federal law. She also has experience representing clients before state and federal administrative agencies.
