Kansas City’s “Best of the Bar” 2013 Recognizes Two Armstrong Teasdale Attorneys
Armstrong Teasdale partners Shelley Ericsson and Tyson Ketchum have been named to the Kansas City Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” list of outstanding Kansas City lawyers chosen by their peers.
The more than 200 attorneys will be highlighted in the Kansas City Business Journal’s September 27 issue. Ericsson has been named to the “Best of the Bar” every year since 2007 and Ketchum, since 2008.
Ericsson, an experienced litigator, defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wages and has appeared extensively before state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies.
Admitted to practice in the states of Kansas and Missouri, Ericsson earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law, M.S. in Legal Administration from the University of Denver College of Law and B.A. in Political Science from Missouri State University. She is also a member of The Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Ketchum, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, has successfully represented corporations and individuals in a wide variety of commercial and tort cases. Licensed to practice in the state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas and in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, he handles insurance coverage disputes (including the defense of bad faith claims), breaches of contract, lease disputes, personal injury matters, product liability matters, employment discrimination claims and construction disputes. He also handles litigation matters on behalf of a state retirement benefit system.
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Ketchum served as a law clerk for the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission in Missouri. He received his J.D. in 2000 from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law and B.S. in 1996 from Truman State University.
