Laura Bentele Named a St. Louis Business Journal '30 Under 30' Honoree
Armstrong Teasdale, a law firm with offices across the United States and in China, proudly announces that Litigation associate Laura Bentele has been chosen for the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2016 class of 30 Under 30 honorees. The awards recognize “future leaders of the region and the local business community.”
In her law practice, Bentele focuses on commercial and real estate litigation. As part of this work, she defends regional utility companies, financial institutions, mining companies, multi-state consumer product retailers and manufacturing companies in state and federal courts around the country. Bentele is also a co-founder and co-leader of the firm’s Agriculture, Food and Health industry group; she counsels clients concerning food contamination and safety issues.
In addition to her 30 Under 30 honor, Bentele was named to the most recent Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. She was previously elected to the Governing Council of The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section and selected to be an associate member of Theodore McMillian American Inns of Court for 2013 through 2015. She serves on the American Bar Association’s Food/Supplements Committee.
Her community activities include serving on the Junior Board of Team Activities for Special Kids and, very recently, being chosen to join the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Young Friends Council. Further, Bentele provides pro bono legal services to the Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts organization.
Bentele earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law and B.A., in History and International Affairs, from George Washington University. Admitted to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri and the Central District of Illinois, Bentele is a member of a number of organizations including the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and The Missouri Bar. Bentele is based in the firm’s St. Louis office.
Profiles of each honoree will appear in the July 8 version of the St. Louis Business Journal, and the winners will be recognized at a cocktail reception on July 14.
