A member of the Litigation practice group, Darryl Chatman concentrates most often on business disputes involving contracts, tort law and intellectual property.
Business Litigation. Darryl counsels insurance companies and businesses of all sizes with problems arising out of the day-to-day operation of a commercial enterprise. He deals most often with matters involving contracts, agreements, non-compete and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Tort Law. For both insurance companies and their insureds, Darryl litigates cases related to auto accidents and property damage.
Intellectual Property. Darryl dedicates his time in the intellectual property area to false patent marking, a niche area of patent litigation. He advocates for and defends claims of false patent marking and closely monitors client’s patent markings on products to ensure protection.
Sports Law. Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations, Darryl guides academic athletic departments in issues relating to compliance.
Darryl’s experience also includes ERISA actions, food and agricultural concerns and the effects pending legislation has on organizations.
