Laura Hilmert is a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. She is a Registered Patent Attorney whose primary focus is on the counseling of clients in the biological, chemical and life sciences fields on a variety of intellectual property issues, including patentability, validity and freedom-to-operate, as well as the preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and foreign patent applications.

Laura has worked on a broad range of technologies, including those relating to transgenic oils, transgenic plants, desaturase and elongase enzymes, capture ligand technology, sequencing technology, bioactive orthopedic materials, antigenic peptides, pharmaceuticals, gene therapy, skin science, absorbent materials and microencapsulation.
