Ray Fournie primarily focuses his practice in the areas of toxic tort and asbestos defense, along with defense of medical malpractice, products liability, construction and business litigation.

He has been involved in defending asbestos cases for the past 23 years and has served as National Trial Counsel for one of the principle asbestos defendants which allowed him to try cases throughout the country. He has taken 18 asbestos cases to verdict involving 72 plaintiffs and recently obtained a rare defense verdict in an asbestos case involving a 39-year-old plaintiff with malignant mesothelioma. He has managed and disposed of in excess of 9,500 asbestos cases in Madison County, Illinois and presently is managing and supervising more than 3,200 asbestos cases.
