AT Academy: Co-op and Condo Virtual Law Series - Apartment Alterations, Combinations and Expansions

Living in a multiple dwelling building can sometimes be constrictive, and it is not uncommon for a co-op shareholder or condominium unit owner to request of the Board the right to expand the apartment into the hallway or even onto the roof. Alterations and renovations of apartments are even more common, and are becoming increasingly complex. Regardless of the request, there are numerous issues a Board must consider in order to protect the building and the other occupants. The attorneys at Armstrong Teasdale are well versed with this problem and will discuss the issues and suggest solutions.
