Armstrong Teasdale Adds Team of Attorneys in Denver, St. Louis
Armstrong Teasdale welcomes Partners Gregory J. Ramos, Cody M. Barela and Michael Freimann to the firm’s Denver office, and Of Counsel Shannon R. Dunham to the St. Louis office. They join a roster of more than 370 attorneys across Armstrong Teasdale’s 15 offices internationally.
Ramos has more than 25 years of experience helping companies execute on their strategic vision through mergers and acquisitions, strategic business transactions, corporate reorganization and succession planning. In that time, he has closed more than 90 M&A transactions, with an aggregate value exceeding $13 billion, and numerous private offerings aggregating hundreds of millions of dollars. Clients have also leveraged Ramos’ experience in technology transactions, particularly software and information technology services, to secure mission critical technology valued in the billions of dollars.
Barela helps clients in the technology, internet, telecommunications, manufacturing, professional services, consulting, aerospace and medical fields develop and implement commercial contracting strategies to optimize efficiencies and reduce their legal costs. With a strong technology and engineering background, he also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate operations and general business matters; as well as intellectual property matters including copyright, trademark and infringement issues.
Freimann has more than 20 years of law experience, drawing on a distinctive background that includes a decade of in-house experience, an extensive trial and litigation record, experience as a traditional labor law attorney and numerous years as a military attorney. As a former general counsel for a Fortune 200 company with more than 70,000 employees and multiple subsidiaries, he advises clients on a full spectrum of employment and commercial disputes, as well as all types of traditional labor issues.
Dunham represents companies in business and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, and the negotiation of enterprise-level agreements, including technology, software and content licensing and development. She provides legal support for all aspects of technical operations, backed by over 20 years of broadband and telecommunications industry experience, including nine years as in-house counsel (two of those as vice president) at a publicly traded Fortune 100 operator.
