August 26, 2019 Firm News

Armstrong Teasdale has been listed in the top 25% of AmLaw 200 firms ranked by percentage of women equity partners by The American Lawyer magazine. The ranking appears in the August issue as part of the A-list, which aims to provide a snapshot of the most well-rounded of the nation’s 200 largest law firms.

The A-List ranks the firms based on their commitment to a variety of financial and cultural markers, from revenue per lawyer to partnership racial and gender diversity.

Inclusion and diversity are core values at Armstrong Teasdale, enriching our workplace and enabling us to better serve our clients.

“These benchmarks are about much more than recognition,” said Hillary Bean, a partner in the St. Louis office and director of Armstrong Teasdale’s Women’s Inclusion Network. “The firm has developed and implemented strategic plans to foster a more inclusive workplace and drive advancement in the legal profession.”

Women hold numerous leadership roles at the firm, including general counsel, positions on management and compensation committees, and leadership posts in industry teams and practice areas. In the past year, one-third of the firm’s newly elected partners were women, and over the past five years there has been a 10% increase in the number of women associates. Armstrong Teasdale recently appointed Kate Kerr as director of professional development and inclusion. The firm created the position to help further and enhance our diversity and inclusion efforts in 2019 and beyond.
