Armstrong Teasdale U.K. Team Successfully Advises RDCP Group on Majority Stake Acquisition
An Armstrong Teasdale team led by Partners Martin O’Donoghue and Yvonne Costello has successfully advised RDCP Group (RDCP) on the acquisition of a 67.4% majority stake in the Intelling group (Intelling).
Founded in 2015 by Sameer Rizvi and Iryna Dubylovska, RDCP is a diversified conglomerate that now controls $350 million of investments across multiple sectors. This latest deal is RDCP’s seventh acquisition in the last 18 months, following its purchase of Chilango, Ancient House Printing Group, and multiple acquisitions for RDCP Infrastructure. It brings RDCP’s total employee numbers in the U.K. to circa 1,750.
Intelling is a Manchester-based customer communication and management business that turns data into actionable insights that can be used by clients to deliver targeted communications to customers. Intelling counts companies such as O2, Vodafone, TalkTalk, Serco and Experian as key clients.
Commenting on the acquisition, CEO of RDCP Group, Sameer Rizvi, said: “I couldn’t be more excited about the Intelling acquisition. Six months in the making, this is our largest acquisition to-date and a major milestone for RDCP Group. Iryna and I look forward to working closely with Phil Morgan and his management on executing their business plan of making Intelling a £65m turnover and £11m EBITDA business by 2024. Martin and Yvonne from Armstrong Teasdale were a pleasure to work with. They constantly had our back on this transaction – I look forward to working with them again!”
Martin O’Donoghue said, “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Sameer and his team on this transaction. Clearly this was a milestone deal for RDCP and we are thrilled to have been able to deliver it. This was largely due to our ability to deploy a team with significant private equity and buy side M&A experience. This played a fundamental part in securing a very successful result for our client. We wish Sameer, Iryna and the rest of the RDCP team every success with this venture.”
