Benjamin Keime Rejoins Armstrong Teasdale in Miami
Armstrong Teasdale is pleased to announce the return of Partner Benjamin L. Keime to the firm’s Litigation practice group in the Miami office. An experienced civil litigator, Ben has tried complex cases in both state and federal courts.
“As we continue to grow our practice with high-quality trial attorneys, it’s particularly gratifying to have former team members return, as we know their strengths will help us continue to obtain great results for our clients,” said Litigation Practice Group Leader Matthew J. Reh. “Ben’s return speaks volumes to the leadership of Eleanor Barnett and Glen Waldman and the practice they have fostered in Miami. We’re excited to welcome him back to AT.”
Keime is a sophisticated trial attorney with extensive experience in a variety of high-stakes commercial litigation and contract issues. He represents clients in a variety of civil disputes ranging from contracts and torts to breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, and deceptive and unfair trade practices. He also provides outside corporate counsel services and assists with corporate governance, labor and employment matters, and contract negotiations and drafting.
Prior to practicing law, Ben served in active duty in the military intelligence branch of the United States Army. His duties included the clandestine collection of human intelligence in support of special operations forces. He is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, has traveled extensively, and lived throughout the world. In addition to his J.D. from the University of Miami, Ben also holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. from Excelsior University.
Armstrong Teasdale also recently welcomed Litigation Counsel John Thornton, Jr. to the firm’s Miami office. John has diverse legal experience, including leading an in-house Litigation practice at a private company as Chief Legal Officer. He has represented clients on a wide array of litigation matters. His in-house experience includes advising on topics ranging from corporate governance to labor and employment issues, as well as drafting and negotiating complex transactions. John also completed a federal clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
“We are thrilled to have Ben Keime rejoin the firm and to add John Thornton to our team,” said Eleanor Barnett, who heads the Miami office. “Strategically expanding and strengthening our practice with litigators like Ben and John is a key element to the long-term success of the office and the firm as a whole.”
