Litigation Associate Paul Brusati Named Outstanding Young Lawyer
Paul L. Brusati, an associate in Armstrong Teasdale’s Litigation practice group, has been selected to receive the Roy F. Essen Memorial Award for Outstanding Work as a Young Lawyer from the St. Louis County Bar Association. The award recognizes an attorney licensed for less than 10 years who has shown excellent work as a lawyer, distinguished service to the organized bar and unselfish service to the community.
In his law practice, Brusati focuses on contract and commercial litigation defense and appellate law in both state and federal court. He has briefed and argued appeals in both state and federal appellate courts, and has argued cases in both the Missouri Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Missouri.
Active in both professional and civic organizations, Brusati serves as a board member for People with Purpose, a nonprofit helping incarcerated adults and youth before and after release lead purposeful and productive lives through life coaching. In addition, he works with the Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry and as a volunteer attorney for the Missouri Coalition for the Right to Counsel, where he takes on complex public defender cases pro bono, often involving criminal appeals.
Brusati will be honored on Feb. 1 at the St. Louis County Bar Association's Annual Dinner at the Clayton Plaza Hotel.
