Ottobock Completes Acquisition of Pace Rehabilitation
Armstrong Teasdale’s U.K. Mergers and Acquisitions team assisted Otto Bock PLC (Ottobock) in its acquisition of Pace Rehabilitation, which completed on 5 January 2023. Founded in 1919, Ottobock is a global health tech company that develops innovative fitting solutions for people with reduced mobility.
Pace Rehabilitation was established in 2003 by a team of experienced clinicians who provided an integrated approach to the treatment of people who have sustained limb loss or serious limb injury. They currently operate from three clinics, in Amersham, Bucks; Bredbury, Greater Manchester; and Glasgow with a team of 40 consultants, therapists, allied health professionals, technicians and support staff.
“We are thoroughly delighted to complete the acquisition and excited to welcome Pace Rehabilitation and their successful team to the Ottobock Family,” said Phil Yates, Managing Director of Otto Bock Healthcare PLC. “Their endeavour aligns perfectly with Ottobock’s own mission to empower people to regain or maintain their freedom of movement, and we appreciate the work of Armstrong Teasdale’s M&A team to help bring this transaction to conclusion.”
“Armstrong Teasdale is pleased to have been able to support Ottobock in the acquisition of Pace Rehabilitation, which aligns well with their mission,” said Partner Una Deretic, who led the Armstrong Teasdale team. Partners Jonathan Bruck and Scott Hilton; Solicitors Malgorzata Janiec and Matt Santer; Senior Associate Louise Smyth; and Trainee Solicitors Anna Logue and Salma Seoudy were also instrumental in supporting this matter.
