Biography
Zack Nehls focuses his practice on matters involving industrial security, corporate transactions and construction law. In all engagements, he emphasizes delivering business-focused legal solutions that align with clients’ strategic objectives.
Industrial Security
Zack provides comprehensive legal guidance to defense contractors and organizations seeking to navigate the complex landscape of compliance and regulatory requirements necessary to offer their services or products to the U.S. government. He assists clients in navigating compliance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) directives, 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM) regulations, and obtaining and maintaining facility security clearances (FCLs). His expertise includes guiding clients through Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) mitigation strategies and developing tailored mitigation instruments that align with federal standards and client objectives.
Corporate Transactions
Zack is skilled at guiding clients on matters involving entity formation, governance, commercial contract drafting, and mergers and acquisitions. He has experience representing both buyers and sellers, providing guidance on deal structuring, conducting due diligence, and negotiating acquisition agreements.
Construction
Zack works with contractors, developers and owners on various legal matters, providing support in contract drafting and negotiation, project risk management, and navigating disputes that arise during projects in real time.
Background
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Zackary was a law clerk for in-house counsel at a multinational brewing company, an intern at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and a law clerk at another St. Louis law firm. Before that he managed a large redevelopment of a historic commercial office space in St. Louis. Before law school, Zackary worked in the financial markets serving market data to some of the nation’s largest financial institutions.
