Biography
As leader of Armstrong Teasdale's Asbestos Litigation practice, trial attorney Anita Kidd defends clients in bet-the-company litigation suits. She concentrates on matters involving toxic torts, personal injury, products liability, mass torts, medical malpractice, and complex litigation throughout Missouri and Illinois. She has represented local, national, and multinational clients across various jurisdictions, including the notoriously difficult venues of St. Clair and Madison counties. Anita brings a holistic perspective to client guidance based on her extensive knowledge of the asbestos litigation landscape and the parties involved.
A large portion of her practice is devoted to handling asbestos injury, toxic mass tort, and personal injury claims. She has managed thousands of these cases over the past 30 years.
Her experience as a registered nurse enhances her understanding of exposure of disease and treatment of asbestosis, mesothelioma, and lung cancer. This, combined with her knowledge of the law, helps her obtain the evidence needed to prove her clients’ cases. Anita is uniquely positioned to strategically assist her clients with developing and implementing global, result-driven, and cost-effective defense strategies.
Anita also represents physicians, nurses, and hospitals in medical malpractice matters. Her in-depth experience in this area, including with clients in the pharmaceutical industry, makes her adept at handling these cases from beginning to the end of trial.
Anita serves on Armstrong Teasdale's Executive Committee and has spent more than 30 years of her career at the firm. She has a long history in firm management as a member of the Executive Committee and Finance Committee, as well as serving as a member of additional firm committees.
