2025 Patent 1000 Recognizes Armstrong Teasdale, Seven Lawyers

June 4, 2025 Firm News

Armstrong Teasdale and seven of its attorneys have been recognized among IAM’s 2025 Patent 1000, a ranking of the world’s leading patent professionals. Partners Patrick Brennan, Richard Brophy, Daniel Fitzgerald, Erin Florek, Christopher Goff, Jim Heinen, Jr. and Michael Munsell are ranked in the 2025 edition for their skill and in-depth experience in patent practice. The firm’s Patent practice attained a gold ranking in Missouri, with the guide noting that the team “prioritises patrons’ business goals, delivering top-notch results through strategic partnerships.”

Considered the “go-to” resource for those seeking to identify world-class, private practice patent expertise as well as leading expert witnesses in the U.S., the Patent 1000 rankings are determined following exhaustive qualitative research, including approximately 1,800 interviews, to identify outstanding firms and individuals across multiple jurisdictions. Factors taken into account include depth of knowledge, market presence, and the level of work, as well as positive peer and client feedback.

“Patent practice is a cornerstone of the work we do, and the individuals ranked this year reflect the depth of experience that our team possesses,” said Heinen, Intellectual Property practice group leader. “I’m proud to see so many of them recognized every year for their consistent, high level of experience.”

Armstrong Teasdale provides patent services to some of the world’s largest companies with innovation at the heart of their business, managing portfolios containing thousands of patents. The patent team includes over 50 lawyers and patent agents registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The team has filed 14,668 patent applications in the last five years, with 2,894 of those originally drafted and filed. Clients also include individual inventors as well as university tech-transfer programs, research facilities and technology incubators.
