Eleanor Barnett Named Armstrong Teasdale Miami Office Managing Attorney
Armstrong Teasdale announces that Partner Eleanor Barnett has been named managing attorney of the firm’s Miami office, effective Mar. 1, 2024. She succeeds Partner Glen Waldman, who will continue to lead the Miami office’s active and award-winning Litigation practice.
Armstrong Teasdale’s Miami office opened in 2022 when the firm combined with Waldman Barnett, where the two served as co-managing partners. Today, the Miami office includes more than 20 lawyers and staff professionals. The firm’s broader footprint includes 18 offices internationally, and more than 680 lawyers and staff professionals.
Office managing attorneys are charged with driving growth and success in coordination with the firm’s overall strategic vision as determined by firmwide leadership and Managing Partner Richard Engel.

Barnett is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on complex commercial and business litigation, real estate litigation, trust and probate litigation, and employment litigation. She has experience litigating matters in both state and federal courts throughout Florida and other jurisdictions throughout the country. She has handled matters through trial in various areas of business disputes, including actions involving employment discrimination, construction, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, partnership disputes, all facets of real estate matters, insurance coverage disputes, and copyright and trademark infringement. Active in the local professional and charitable communities, Barnett is an advisory board member for Breakthrough Miami; executive board member of Ransom Everglades; and a local interviewer for Georgetown University admissions.
Waldman is recognized as one of the top civil jury trial lawyers regionally and nationally. As lead counsel he has obtained numerous jury verdict awards in the seven and eight figures and has successfully defended to zero verdict claims of equal size. He has also achieved similar results in non-jury actions and has secured numerous substantial international arbitration awards in both commercial and reinsurance matters. Likewise, he acts as outside corporate counsel for a number of businesses, advising on and overseeing their contractual relationships, internal controls and procedures, and other legal and strategic decisions. Waldman is a member of the Trial Law Institute, Diversity Law Institute and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
