M&A Advisor Names Armstrong Teasdale Three-Time Finalist in 2024 M&A Awards

M&A Advisor has named Armstrong Teasdale a finalist in three categories as part of the 22nd Annual M&A Advisor Awards, which recognizes leading transactions, firms and individuals that represent the highest levels of performance. Armstrong Teasdale, among other parties, was selected for recognition as finalists in Materials Deal of the Year and Private Equity Deal of the Year (between $75MM - $100MM) for the sale of long-time client Bron Tapes to a private equity firm. In addition, Armstrong Teasdale is a finalist for Law Firm of the Year.

Founded in 1977 in Denver, Colorado, Bron Tapes is the premier producer, converter and distributor of pressure-sensitive tapes, adhesives and innovative solutions in North America. With 11 production and distribution centers across the United States, Bron Tapes provides more than 100 market applications for over 13,000 customers, in more than 50 countries, supporting a diverse end-market customer base including aerospace and defense, automotive, electronics, building and construction, medical, manufacturing, and more.

Armstrong Teasdale Partners Gregory Ramos and Christopher Johnson, along with Associate Jordyn McDowell, advised family-run Bron Tapes in all legal aspects of the deal, which was undertaken on a very accelerated time frame during the 2022 holidays. The dedicated team worked very hard to get the deal done while guiding the family through this incredibly impactful event, complicated by over a dozen minority individual shareholders.

The deal provided Bron Tapes with the backing to continue its strategic growth and expansion, including as it relates to its successful aerospace business. From a shareholder perspective, the sale has allowed the company to complete the transformation from a single controlling shareholder to a professionally managed organization, with the financial backing and access to talent and markets that a private equity sponsor can provide.

The finalists, representing over 450 participating companies, will be judged by an independent panel of industry experts. Winners will be announced live at the 22nd Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala during the 2023 Future of Dealmaking Summit on Nov.14-15, 2023, in New York City.
