Secured $4.4 Million Judgment for International Membership Club in Construction Defect Case
Led a litigation team during non-jury trial resulting in a $4.4 million judgment for client, the largest operator of membership warehouse clubs servicing Latin America (Central America, the Caribbean and Colombia), related to a defective concrete slab floor in their 300,000-square-foot warehouse in Medley, Florida, which ultimately required complete removal and replacement of the floor.
Representation of Commercial Condominium Owner Against Association for Failing to Maintain Property
Represented the owner of commercial condominium space in the historical Hollywood Beach Resort. The condominium association failed to maintain the property and as such the owner is unable to rent or lease the commercial space, and filed suit for breach of declaration.
Counsel to Condominium Associations in Fight to Stop Development in 22-Acre Gated Complex on Biscayne Bay
Represent the condominium associations for two of three buildings in a 22-acre gated complex on Biscayne Bay. Filed suit against a developer in 2016 wanting to develop two additional high-rises in the complex for violation of agreements and easements, as well as inconsistency with the master plans of Miami-Dade County.

Secured partial summary judgment to-date on liability for condominium association in suit against unit owner for violating the association declaration by illegally modifying common property elements.

Led a litigation team to secure a $26 million jury verdict for client and developer in a protracted case brought by an adversarial homeowners’ association fighting to stop the development of a luxury condominium project in Aventura’s Dumfoundling Bay. The case won recognition as No. 7 in the “Top 10 Verdicts in Florida” in 2018.
