Armstrong Teasdale Expands Employment and Labor Practice with Partner Paul Parisi in Denver
National law firm Armstrong Teasdale has announced the hiring of Partner Paul Parisi to help lead and expand the firm’s Employment and Labor practice.
Parisi, who joins the firm’s Denver office, comes to Armstrong Teasdale with more than two decades working in employment and labor law, including 15 years as global head of labor, employment and litigation for a Fortune 200 corporation. He will join the firm’s growing Employment and Labor practice, led by St. Louis-based Partner Ida Shafaie.
“We are thrilled to welcome Paul to our employment and labor group,” Shafaie said. “Paul brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice and adds meaningful labor experience that will be immediately helpful to our clients. He offers a unique perspective that our clients will benefit from, having led in-house legal departments for over a decade at a major corporation. I am confident he will help us continue expanding the practice in meaningful ways.”
At Armstrong Teasdale Parisi will draw on his in-house experience to expand the firm’s employment and labor offerings beyond litigation, serving as outside counsel to clients on all forms of federal, state and local matters relating to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and Department of Labor (DOL), in addition to a variety of state-specific entities. He is also experienced at handling collective and class actions, as well as resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution.
Managing Partner Richard Engel says Parisi’s addition comes at a time that the firm is seeing an increase in employment and labor matters. “In addition to recent developments from state and federal government offices, the workforce is also evolving,” Engel said. “Our clients require more sophisticated support in this area, and we are pleased to be welcoming Paul to the team to help meet those needs and expand our offerings.”
Denver Office Managing Attorney Gregory Ramos notes that Parisi’s hiring also marks a significant addition to the firm’s local presence. “Paul has significant experience in the Denver market in addition to his well-rounded national experience,” Ramos said. “In continuing our commitment to strategic growth, we are thrilled to be welcoming another Partner and look forward to more growth for our presence in Denver and beyond.”
